About Me
I have over 16 years experience as a photographer, initially capturing family functions, I quickly discovered that it was my work with children that was most enjoyable and successful. I consider that baby and child photography is a distinctive art, unlike any other form of photography requiring a unique approach. As a mother of two beautiful children, I know all too well how unpredictable they can be. They often don’t want to “perform” when you most need them to and can be easily overwhelmed by a photographer’s studio and all the equipment that comes with it. This can result in a stressful sitting and images that don’t reveal your child’s true character. With this in mind, I believe that the best, most natural images are achieved in a comfortable and familiar setting. This is why I take photos in your home or at a chosen location – somewhere where your child can truly be themselves. Sessions generally last around an hour however I am more than happy to work around sleeps, feeds and any other distractions or interruptions (these often make the best photo opportunities!). I work in a very unobtrusive manner, working around your child instead of vice-versa. Primarily I want this to be a pleasurable experience with heaps of happy memories for you and your little ones. In choosing a photographer to come into your home or to spend time with you and your family it’s crucial that you feel at ease and happy with that person. That is why I pride myself on offering a personal service. I am the only person you will deal with from the time you book the session right through to receiving your final prints and products. In addition to this I am a fluent Welsh speaker and am able to offer all of my services through the medium of Welsh.
